Flesh is for Zombies Go Vegan

Inspiring Americans at Nourish Sequim

Talk at Nourish Sequim

Talk at Nourish Sequim

I find myself in this little town of Sequim, WA realizing how much we can do in our own communities. The internet informs me of chemtrails, GMOs, privatization of our water, and the myriad of other concerns facing us today. While all that’s true and at times overwhelming, I find inspiration when I give these talks and see good-hearted people show up to take back their lives. Someone once gave the advice to avoid inactionable news. That is, watching events on mainstream media that are played over and over to instill fear.

Finding the balance of being aware on a global level and taking action on the the circumstances within my control keeps me sane. What I can do is buy organic, plant-based food from local farmers, keep my immune system strong by listening to healing music and centering myself with daily yoga.

People like those who showed up last night remind me there’s an undercurrent of change happening with individuals who care about not only about themselves but the greater good of mankind. We all have it in us. To know in our bones that we matter – that the consequences of our choices ripple out to our neighbors brings us together for a stronger collective voice.

Raw Vegan Talk at Nash’s Organic Produce

I moved to Sequim, WA just in time for the fresh strawberries. There’s something about the soil here that makes the produce out-of-this-world delicious. It gives me satisfaction to know I’m supporting the local, organic farmers and people in the community who want to take responsibility for their own health.

In this talk you’ll learn how we got to the current system of chemicalized, convenient foods, the benefits of a raw food diet and how to successfully go through the change that comes when you shift your diet away from the Standard American Diet (SAD).

Leave your comments and share the information with your friends or family who want to include more raw foods in their diet. A complete 5-week, online course begins August 1, 2013.
