The first time I did a 10 day cleanse I found that cleaning out my fridge beforehand helped a lot.
This time, my third time, I have friends staying over and I’m finding that the distractions are making the cleanse easier. We went to the’Back to Eden’ permaculture farm here in Sequim and the Precious Life Animal Sanctuary. (You can find the Back to Eden film online) Hanging out with animals and plants felt good and my stomach wasn’t nearly as loud as when I was in my house alone. I’m noticing that I eat for pleasure instead of nutrition. Many people say it’s difficult to do a cleanse living with other people. This could be true. Luckily my house guests are extremely considerate and have been eating their food in their car. I have no smells to entice me or visual temptations of watching them eat food.
Visiting these two places today filled me with a sense of abundance and safety. When’s the last time you laid on a cow’s back? This is me bonding with Casper. On the Purium Cleanse, you’re allowed up to 3 flex foods. This apple from Paul’s farm was out of this world delicious. One of the joys in doing a cleanse is waking up my taste buds. Mindfully eating, especially food from mineral rich soil, brings gratitude and happiness.
